Hammond Air Conditioning Ltd. has produced the Arctic BREEZE 24V Bus AC system to allow the drivers to remain with their buses and stay cool without the need to have the engine idling to run the air conditioning. Completely battery powered, the driver can run the Arctic Breeze system up to 8 hours to remain cool while waiting for their passengers at the Casino or tourist attraction. Included with the system is a 110V charger to maintain the batteries for extended layovers or overnight to ensure the system is ready for the next days tour.

The system consists the evaporator, compressor, condenser as well as all the hoses, wiring and mounting hardware required to install the kit into your bus. The evaporator is designed to mount in the forward upper luggage compartment and with an optional curtain to close off the rear of the bus, will keep the drivers compartment comforatble. The condenser is mounted in an area with sufficient circulation to allow air flow to keep it cool. The compressor can be installed anywhere in the lower luggage compartment. Also included are a low voltage disconnect to prevent discharging the batteries too deeply and a 110V hook up to power the included charger overnight or on long layovers. Hammond Air Conditioning Ltd recommends using at least six Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries to power the system.
